A lei for you — Northern California alum — of flowers fair
Nearly 60 people attended Chaminade’s Northern California Alumni and Family Gathering held on June 25 this summer in San Jose, California. They came dressed in aloha attire ready to make lei, take in the fragrant flowers and eat the ono pupu. The afternoon was filled with aloha and liveHawaiian music.
The event was hosted by Chaminade governor, Joe Melehan, at his house, who has graciously supported Chaminade in this way for years.
Besides alumni, there were five members of Chaminade’s Board of Governors, three current students and one incoming student who attended, as well as a few parents. There even was one alum who calls Utah home, who had been visiting her sister in Sacramento. She drove down from Sacramento to San Jose for the event. Now that’s a loyal Sword!
