Tutoring coordinator, Bro. Allen Pacquing, S.M., and office assistants, Deborah Chun and Briyanna Vitug, are ready to help students who would like tutoring, as well as to answer questions for anyone interested in becoming tutors.
Chaminade students got a chance to meet with members of the tutoring staff and find out more about the services offered at this fall’s Tutoring Center Open House. Tutoring coordinator, Bro. Allen Pacquing, S.M. shared that the Tutoring Center is open to all students, and provides various types of services such as peer/professional in-person tutoring, after-hours tutoring, and group tutoring. Students can also take advantage of some new forms of tutoring including:
- SMARTHINKING - an online 24-hour tutoring service, which includes the highly used Writing Center (where students submit term papers, research papers, etc., which are then reviewed by professionals who provide feedback in all majors); and
- Skype Tutoring
The Tutoring Center is part of the Office of Retention, Advising and Career Preparation. Located in the Student Support Services Building, the Tutoring Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“All services are FREE,” Bro. Allen emphasized with caps. “The main thing is for students to stop by and get more information.”
